Hansgrohe EcoSmart water conservation technology

Engineered to Use Less, Deliver More

Hansgrohe's EcoSmart flow restrictors reduce water consumption by up to 40% compared to conventional fittings — without any perceptible change in shower pressure or kitchen faucet performance. The technology works by aerating the water stream, maintaining the sensation of generous flow while consuming significantly less water.

  • Flow rates from 5 l/min (shower) and 3.5 l/min (kitchen)
  • Compatible with LEED, BREEAM, and WELL certification points
  • Environmental Product Declarations available on request
  • ISO 14001:2015 certified manufacturing process

Why Specification Professionals Choose Hansgrohe

"We specified Hansgrohe across all 220 guest bathrooms in our resort renovation. The technical team provided BIM objects, shop drawings, and on-site support throughout installation. Not a single warranty claim in three years of operation."

Marcus Whitfield Director of Construction, Meridian Hotel Group

"The thermostatic valve system simplified our plumbing rough-in considerably. iBox universal rough-in body means we can select trim later without re-opening walls — an invaluable advantage in our luxury condo program."

Priya Nambiar Senior Project Architect, Vertex Design Partners

"Hansgrohe's EcoSmart fixtures helped us secure 2 LEED water efficiency credits on our student housing project. The flow data sheets were exactly what our green building consultant needed — no chasing, just accurate documentation."

James Kowalski Sustainability Lead, Greenform Construction

Yes. Hansgrohe products sold in North America carry both UPC (Uniform Plumbing Code) and cUPC (Canadian equivalent) certifications. Thermostatic valves also meet ASSE 1016 scald protection standards. Certification documentation is available through your regional Hansgrohe project manager or via our specification downloads portal.

Standard in-catalogue products ship from regional distribution centers within 5–10 business days in North America and 3–7 days within Europe. For large project quantities (200+ units) or custom finishes (Polished Gold, Brushed Bronze), we recommend a minimum 8-week lead time from confirmed purchase order. Our project managers can provide a binding delivery schedule at the time of quotation.

Yes. BIM objects (Revit .rfa), AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings, and IFC files are available for all active product families. Files are downloadable directly from the Specification page or can be provided as a batch export for your entire project product list. We also provide CSI 3-Part specification language in MasterFormat format on request.

Hansgrohe products carry a limited lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. Cartridges, ceramic disc valves, and surface finishes are warranted for a minimum of five years. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and are processed through our authorized service network. Full warranty terms are available on our Specification page.
