If you're a designer, architect, or contractor, you've probably hit a wall of product questions—some about the fixtures, some about the construction details, and a few about the digital side. I work in quality control for a plumbing fixtures company, and I've spent the last four years reviewing shower products before they ship. If the shower enclosure has a crack, a chipped edge, or water leaking around the glass, you don't necessarily need a full replacement. A glass doctor can replace a single panel, fix the door hinges, or re-seal the silicone.

But before you call them, check the fixture hardware. A leaking shower is often caused by a worn-out seal or a loose screw, not the glass itself. In my experience, the glass doctor is part of the repair team, not the whole team.

For projects under warranty, having a local glass specialist is actually faster than shipping a new glass panel from overseas. So I keep a vendor list ready.

6. What is a vanity URL and why should I care?

A vanity URL is a short, easy-to-remember web address that redirects to a longer link. For example, example.com/hg can point to example.com/products/kitchen-and-bath/shower-systems/.

Why does this matter in a building project? Because you'll be putting product links on brochures, showroom signs, or QR codes. A vanity URL looks clean, and you can track how many people use it.

If you're using hansgrohe shower fixtures as a selling point in a model home, create a vanity URL that goes directly to the product page. It's a small detail, but it makes the handover easier for the client.
